About Grövelsjöfjällen Tourist Association

Grövelsjöfjällen Tourist Association is a non-profit association that was formed in 1983 on the initiative of the local tourist companies

to promote tourism in Grövelsjöfjällen. The association's activities are financed by members' annual fees and track contributions.

Today, around 400 companies, cottage owners and private individuals are members of the association.

The hope is that this number will increase in the coming years as more people feel a growing

involvement in the association's endeavor to develop Grövelsjöfjällen into an attractive tourist destination.

The board is represented by local industry, local residents and other members. GTF's annual meeting is always held on January 3 in Bystugan at 16.00, when members and non-members are warmly welcome to participate. Read more about Grövelsjöfjällen Tourist Association's privacy policy here .

Part of the association's financial funding also comes from local companies, local residents, cabin owners and tourists in the form of trail grants, a grant that should ideally cover costs for maintenance and care of our fine 100 km long ski trail system during the winter season.

Are you a resident, entrepreneur, cabin owner, tourist or simply want to contribute to Grövelsjöfjällen's development - become a member of the Grövelsjöfjällen tourist association. For more information contact info@grovelsjon.com or the board.

What does Grövelsjöfjällen Tourist Association do?

Grövelsjöfjällen tourist association - genuine-inspiring-sustainable

GTF is a non-profit association that develops close-to-nature outdoor activities and sustainable tourism in Sweden's southernmost and still untouched mountain world. GTF does this by:

1) Build and maintain 20 miles of nature-adapted hiking trails and
excursion destination.
2) Stimulate responsible mountain hiking and summit climbing beyond
excellent joints.
3) Prepare and maintain 10 miles of ski tracks for training and near the mountains
excursion.
4) Inform about safe ski touring over untracked mountain ranges and heights.
5) Present activities and hospitality on digital platforms,
brochures and maps.
6) Attract the tourism that seeks the genuine as just a pristine
fjällvärld can offer.
7) Work to preserve the cultural and natural values of the valley and mountain sides
remain undamaged.

GTF is an idea-driven association with the vision that untouched mountain expanses and moderate expansion of the hospitality industry should favor a niche and sustainable tourism.
