Storsätern's Fjällkapell

Dalarna's northernmost church is run by the chapel foundation, which consists of Storsätern's permanent residents. The initiative for the construction came from the villagers and the chapel was completed in 1968, built in a style reminiscent of a Norwegian stave church.

Unique to the chapel is that it lacks an altarpiece, instead visitors can enjoy the changing seasons of the mountain world through the high chancel window.

The chapel is always open for visits or devotions. Divine service and musical evenings are held here every week during the high season.
