In Floåsen, “The hamlet of old mills” you’ll find Sweden’s oldest water driven frame mill Built in 1856 The mill has been resaturated during the years, and is still in working condition.
The path takes you from the center of the hamlet about 400 meters thorough the forest. Near the road there is a newer circle mill, driven by an unusually large hot bulb engine.
.In the same building you also find a prototype for todays so called Solo saws, well known all over the world. Invented by Jönns Olsson from Floåsen.
