Storsätern Mountain Chapel

Dalarna’s northernmost chapel is run by a chapel-trust formed by the residents of Storsätern. The initiative for the building of the chapel, came from the villagers. The chapel was finished in 1968, built in a style that reminds of Norwegian Stave Churches. Unique for the chapel is the lack of altarpiece. Instead the visitor can enjoy the wonderful changes of the Mountain seasons, through the large chancel windows.

The chapel is always open for worship or just a visit. Church service and music evenings are held at the chapel during high season.
