A lovely tour in mountain forest and open marshes along groomed hiking trails. A nice coffee break at the Lappvallen is not infrequently visited by lichen screamers.

A track mark is required on groomed ski tracks. These can be purchased at establishments in the area. In excursion tracks, it is permitted to use mountain sledges. Leashed dogs are welcome, with the exception of dog sleds.

Description

Start at Sjöstugan and ski up towards STF Grövelsjön. Further along the track to Lappvallen (wind protection) you ski in relatively flat terrain past Grövelfjäll. From Lappvallen, about 2.5 km remain to Lövåsen/Björnliden. The route is electrically lit.

There are double tracks here that are prepared for classic skiing and skating - approx. 11 km one way. Parts of the track run parallel to the snowmobile trail. Keep in mind that just before Grövelfjäll the ski track crosses a busy road, slow down before crossing the road.
