Ski tracks and track fees in Grövelsjön

Welcome to 100 km of groomed ski tracks, through beautiful mountain forest and on Calfjäll.

Grövelsjöfjällen offers fantastic opportunities for cross-country skiing along prepared ski tracks in natural snow. The area is snow-sure and offers the perfect combination of exercise and touring skiing. The entire area around Lake Grövelsjön and Lövåsen is connected by hiking trails, where mountain sledges and leashed dogs are allowed.

Exercise loops of 1.25-10 km are available at Lövåsgården Fjällhotell, Storsätra Fjällhotell, Björnlidens Fjällby and at STF Grövelsjön Fjällstation. Between Lövåsgården and Lappvollen, approx. 2.4 km, there is an electrically lit ski track.

Most of the ski tracks offer the opportunity for both classic skiing and skate. The exercise loops are preferably skied in a left-hand turn (clockwise). Remember to show consideration in the track.

Grövelsjön Fjällen Turistförening, GTF, maintains the ski tracks in cooperation with facilities in the area. The cost of this is approximately SEK 1,000,000/season. Therefore, all contributions are needed for the activity, and you need a track badge to be able to ride on the groomed ski tracks, both on the exercise loops and on the excursion tracks.

Members of GTF can buy season badges at a discounted price, read more at: Membership and track badges

You can buy trail markers and a trail map at the accommodation facilities in the area, as well as Fjällbua, Renbiten and Grövelfjäll. Take a look at our well-being rules before you head out on the trail.

The ski tracks are prepared daily during the season, for the current track status go to ländigspår.se . Under certain weather and snow conditions, it is not suitable to prepare new ski tracks - it is then better not to touch the snow. Therefore, as a visitor, you may be met by tracks that do not always seem optimal.

If you have comments on the ski tracks or see something that needs to be fixed please contact us at skidspar@grovelsjon.com

As soon as the conditions are optimal for preparing the ski tracks, our trackers go out. This means that all-terrain or track vehicles can be present on the ski tracks during all hours of the day.

If you go out in the dark, wear a reflective vest to be seen clearly. In the event of an accident on the ski trail, call 112 and request the mountain rescue! Feel free to use the SOS alarms app , then a GPS position is automatically sent to the emergency services.
