With winds from the north, take the bridge over Grövlan, and aim for Salsfjället. Continue through the pass between Sjöhöjden and Salsfjället.

Here you can make a summit climb at Salsfjället with magnificent views over the Valdal Mountains. Or to Sjöhöjden with wonderful views of the entire lake.

Continue down to Sylen, traversing a bit south of the summer trail down to the shore of lake Grövelsjön, and then going back along the marked trial over the lake.
